Mindfulness is the foundational practice of buddhism. Our contemporary culture defines it as the placement of attention in the present moment combined with non-biased awareness. When we notice our mind wanders, we simply return our attention to the present with a sense of gentleness and precision. In doing so we can cut through daily accumulations of stress and anxiety, synchronize mind and body, and lead a more wakeful and present life. The traditional benefits of mindfulness are clarity, stability, and resilience of mind.

In this four part course you will learn the basics of a mindfulness meditation practice in a supportive group with an experienced teacher. A great opportunity for beginners to establish a practice or for established practitioners to deepen their practice and understanding.
